NSPCC Book Fair
Final Chapter for Local Book Fair After 35 Years The full NSPCC press release is on our News Page
As the end of the NSPCC 2025/26 financial year approaches we can announce that the BookFair has been able to support their work to the amazing extent of £29,754. We can do this because of all the proceeds from the actual event plus the other many sources /donations and the fact that we did not have the same magnitude of expenses as in earlier years.

While it has been difficult to decide not to continue with such a popular event, current circumstances and anticipated future increasedcosts in this financial climate gave us little or no alternative. We would like to extend our profound gratitude and thank all our many volunteers, supporting organisations and visitors over the 35plus years enabling us to raise over £605,000.00 net for the charity. This has meant that during that time the NSPCC has continued with its objectives and essential work of keeping children safe,
We would like to thank Stanway School for allowing customers to visit in 2025 and spend an amazing £26,500. Without the support of organisations such as Boydens, Schofields and the numerous donators we could not have achieved this.
